A 54-year-old man is in critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital, following a traffic collision that occurred around 5:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon in the Famagusta district.
Specifically, according to the police, while the 54-year-old was riding a motorcycle on Cabo Greco Avenue – Protaras, with a 49-year-old woman as a passenger, under circumstances that are under investigation, he lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to strike the sidewalk and overturn.
Both occupants of the motorcycle were transported by ambulance to the Famagusta General Hospital. According to the attending physicians, the 49-year-old woman suffered a tibia fracture and was admitted for treatment. The 54-year-old man has subarachnoid hemorrhage, various injuries and fractures, and due to the severity of his condition, he was transported, intubated, to Nicosia General Hospital, where his condition is considered critical.
The Ayia Napa Police Station is continuing its investigation.
