The Cyprus Branch of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) has received hundreds of applications from prospective students wishing to enroll in its academic programs, as announced by the University, noting that one in five applicants was accepted into the School of Medicine.
According to the University of Athens’ announcement, the acceptance rate for the School of Medicine (20%) was determined following a thorough and rigorous evaluation process. “Securing a spot was a true academic battle among the applicants, with selection based on strict criteria of quality and academic proficiency, with the top-performing applicants ultimately securing a spot at the leading School of Medicine,” the statement notes, among other things.
“The same philosophy is followed in all academic departments, with very high interest from students and hundreds of applications,” reports the University of Athens, adding that the Department of Elementary Education, the Department of Business and Organizational Management, the Department of Economics, the Department of Psychology, the Department of Nursing, and the English-language program in Archaeology, History and Literature of Ancient Greece (Department of Classics), are proceeding with the final evaluation of the numerous applications, adopting a highly selective approach.
