The proposal by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and the Environment to amend the “Regulations on Forestry Apprentices of 2026,” which establishes a special admission procedure for graduates of Rizokarpaso High School to the Cyprus Forestry College, was approved on Tuesday by the Council of Ministers during its session.
According to an official announcement, the new regulation establishes an admission procedure for the Cyprus Forestry College. Candidates will be selected based on their high school graduation exam score, while the selected candidate must, like all students admitted to the Cyprus Forestry College, pass the required athletic tests and meet the health requirements.

This special process applies to one additional spot per academic year, which is in addition to the spots announced through the general admission process. Therefore, it is noted that admission opportunities for other applicants are neither limited nor affected.
“This decision is yet another concrete measure by the Government to support students trapped in Rizokarpaso and their families. Our goal is to continue providing the children of Rizokarpaso with more opportunities for education, training, and professional development, creating real choices for their future,” the announcement notes.
