Wanted in connection with other cases involving domestic violence, and currently on trial for a pending case—again involving domestic violence— is 35-year-old Ahmed from Syria, who attempted to kill his wife and mother-in-law last Saturday.

According to the police, the two women, who were attacked with a knife by the 35-year-old, underwent surgery and are being treated at the hospital in stable condition.

The victims, aged 38 and 58, were found covered in blood in Strovolos and were immediately transported to the hospital; meanwhile, as part of the investigation into the case, testimony has been secured against the 35-year-old, who is currently wanted.

So far, the alleged perpetrator appears to be covering his tracks well, with the police conducting extensive searches to locate him, while relatives and friends have provided statements in an effort to shed light on the motives behind the attack.

In fact, reports indicate that the 35-year-old had previously brutally beaten the young woman while she was pregnant.
