The new yellow warning issued by the Meteorological Service for severe thunderstorms and hail remains in effect until 6:00 p.m. this afternoon. In fact, the warning is very likely to be extended, as an unstable air mass continues to affect Cyprus.
According to the Meteorological Service, the weather this afternoon will be partly cloudy at times, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Hail is possible during thunderstorms, while winds will be variable and will pick up. Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to the northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will be slightly rough.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy, with isolated showers possible along the coast. Winds will be variable and light, at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 14 degrees inland, around 18 degrees along the coast, and 7 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tomorrow, there will be periods of increased cloud cover, which is expected to bring isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon, mainly in the mountains, the interior, and the north. Winds will initially be variable and light, at 3 Beaufort, and will gradually shift to southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 27 degrees in inland areas and along the coast, and to 17 degrees in the higher mountainous regions.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be periods of increased cloud cover, which is expected to bring isolated showers or even thunderstorms in the afternoons, mainly in the mountains and inland areas. On Thursday, the weather will be mostly clear, though increased cloud cover will develop in the mountains.
Temperatures will gradually rise slightly over the three-day period, remaining just below average for this time of year.
