A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region.
Today, after the local low-level cloud cover and the light fog or mist clear up, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with occasional increased cloud cover. Around noon and thereafter, however, clouds developing in the mountainous areas are expected to bring isolated showers, and the possibility of a brief, isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Winds will initially be offshore and locally variable, light at 3 Beaufort, before soon shifting to mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily along the southwestern coast, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough, and temporarily slightly rough in the southwest this afternoon. Temperatures will reach around 38 degrees inland, around 29 on the western and southwestern coasts, around 32 degrees along the rest of the coast, and around 28 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, though locally increased low cloud cover will gradually develop. Later, during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form in some areas, mainly in the east and inland regions. Winds will initially blow from the southwest to the northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, before gradually weakening and becoming downslope and locally variable, light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 22 degrees inland, around 23 on the coast, and around 19 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Sunday, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with occasional increased cloud cover, while during the midday hours and afterward, clouds developing in the mountains are expected to bring isolated showers.
On Monday, the weather will be mostly clear, though locally increased cloud cover will be observed at times. On Tuesday, the weather will be mostly clear.
Temperatures will gradually rise slightly through Tuesday but will continue to hover slightly above normal levels for this time of year.
