The Municipality of Polis Chrysochous urges residents not to attempt to touch, remove, or kill snakes and other reptiles.
In a statement, the Municipality notes that the Reptile and Amphibian Park is open in Neo Chorio, with the goal of protecting, promoting, and safely managing reptiles.
In light of the Park’s operation, the Municipality urges citizens to exercise special caution if they spot a snake or other reptile in a residential area, on a street, a yard, or any other location where the animal may be in danger or cause concern.
According to the announcement, citizens should not attempt to touch, remove, or kill the animal. Instead, they are urged to contact the appropriate authorities immediately so that the necessary measures can be taken and, where required, the animal can be safely captured and transported.
