Moments of terror for a female driver. It was around 9 p.m. on Sunday when the Fire Department received a call about a traffic accident on the Gourriou – Kalo Chorio Road, in the Nicosia district. Members of the Lakatamia Fire Station immediately rushed to the scene with a vehicle and a rescue team, as well as a fire truck.
According to a statement from the Fire Department, the vehicle appears to have veered off course and, after falling from a height of approximately eight meters, it came to rest in the dry bed of a tributary.

Fire Department personnel transported the driver of the vehicle, who remained conscious, on a stretcher to street level, where she was handed over to the Ambulance Service crew for transport to the Emergency Department of Nicosia General Hospital for treatment.
