The Municipality of Nicosia hereby informs the public that the following one-way street projects and traffic control measures will be implemented, in accordance with the Nicosia Municipal Traffic Regulations and the Municipalities Law.
Starting Monday, September 28, 2026, road marking work will be carried out to implement the following traffic arrangements in the municipal district of Agios Dometios:
ΣΧΕΤΙΚΑ ΑΡΘΡΑ
- Revocation of the one-way traffic designation on a section of Markos Drakou Street in the Agios Dometios district, between Grigoris Avxentiou and Agrafon Streets, and conversion of that section into a two-way street. Removal of parking spaces on the aforementioned section of Grigori Avxentiou Street.
Work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Additionally, on Monday, September 28, and Tuesday, September 29, 2026, road marking work will be carried out to implement the following traffic regulations in the municipal district of Agios Dometios:
- Persephone Street will become a one-way street, with traffic permitted only toward Thali Street.
- Creation of parking spaces along the west side of Persefonis Street, as well as a ban on stopping and parking vehicles on the remaining sections of the street, marked by a double yellow line
- Making a section of Vasilissis Sofias Street one-way, with traffic permitted only toward Ploutonos Street.
- Creation of parking spaces along the east side of Vasilissis Sofias Street, as well as a ban on stopping and parking vehicles on the remaining sections of the street, marked by a double yellow line.
- Creation of parking spaces along Thali Street: southwest from Demokratias Street to Ploutonos Street and northeast from Ploutonos Street to Charilaou Michail Street. No stopping or parking of vehicles on the remaining sections of the street, with the painting of a double yellow line
Work will be carried out between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution, obey traffic signs, and avoid parking along both streets.
Starting Tuesday, September 29, 2026, road marking work will be carried out to implement the following traffic regulations in the Nicosia municipal district:
- Konstantinou Palaiologou Street (Panagia Parish) will become a one-way street, with traffic permitted only from Archbishop Makarios II Street toward Panagia.
Work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution, obey traffic signs, and avoid parking along both streets.
