The Meteorological Service has issued a new 2.5-hour yellow warning, as temperatures are expected to “reach” 40 degrees Celsius again inland.
The warning will be in effect from 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, until 4:30 p.m. that same day.

Tonight, the weather will remain generally clear, while later on there will be increased low cloud cover, mainly along the southern and eastern coasts. Winds will continue to blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, light and occasionally moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough, though locally in the west and north it will remain slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 23 degrees inland and along the coast, and to around 20 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly clear, though increased cloud cover will develop in the mountains during the afternoon. Temperatures will reach around 40 degrees inland, around 35 in the south, the eastern and northern coasts, around 32 on the western coast, and around 30 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Saturday and Sunday, the weather in most areas will remain mostly clear with temporarily increased cloud cover; however, clouds developing in the mountains after noon are expected to bring isolated showers or even thunderstorms.
Temperatures through Sunday are not expected to change significantly and will continue to remain above seasonal averages.
