The Meteorological Service has issued a new yellow warning for severe thunderstorms.
The yellow warning is in effect from 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday until 6:00 p.m. that same day, and according to the warning, isolated severe thunderstorms are expected to affect mountainous and inland areas. Hail is likely to fall during thunderstorms. Rainfall intensity is expected to exceed 35 millimeters per hour in some areas.

Detailed Weather Forecast
A seasonal low-pressure system and unstable weather conditions are affecting the region.
Today, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with temporarily increased cloud cover; however, starting around noon, clouds developing in the mountains and inland areas are expected to bring isolated showers and thunderstorms. Hail is possible during thunderstorms. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and will gradually become moderate to strong and temporarily strong along the coast, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally slightly rough. Temperatures will reach around 36 degrees inland, around 30 on the western coast, around 32 on the rest of the coast, and around 24 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, though there will be occasional patches of low cloud cover in some areas, mainly along the coast. Later on and during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form locally, particularly in areas to the south, east, and inland. Winds will gradually become downslope, light at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough, though it will remain slightly rough locally in the west. Temperatures will drop to around 23 degrees in the interior and along the coast, and to around 17 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Thursday and Friday, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with temporarily increased cloud cover; however, starting at noon and continuing into the afternoon, clouds developing in the mountains and possibly inland are expected to bring isolated showers, and isolated brief thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.
On Saturday, the weather will be mostly clear with temporarily increased cloud cover.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Friday, remaining close to normal levels for this time of year. A slight rise in temperature is expected on Saturday.
