Earlier today, YKAN Director Christos Andreou stated on the Alpha News program that authorities estimate the 127 packets of ketamine initially found in two homes in Limassol werewere intended for the production of “pink cocaine,” which is cheaper than the widely used drug.
Mr. Andreou noted that four individuals have been arrested in connection with the case and are currently being held in custody for eight days, while the authorities are already investigating the location and method of importation of the illegal substance, as well as the possible involvement of other individuals.
“The information indicates this (that it arrived by yacht), but we haven’t reached a conclusion yet. We haven’t uncovered any further details, which is why investigations are underway. However, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard this, especially from me, since Cyprus isn’t a country that produces drugs, particularly synthetic drugs.”
