Even more inconvenience is on the way for drivers in Nicosia, with traffic restrictions set to take effect on Famagusta Avenue starting Thursday for a period of four months.
Specifically, according to an announcement by the Nicosia Municipality, as part of the project “Improvement of Ammochostos Avenue in Nicosia,” which is being implemented by the Department of Public Works, the following traffic arrangements will be in effect starting Thursday, October 15, 2026, for a period of four months.
The intersection of Famagusta Avenue and Kennedy Avenue will remain closed, while traffic will be routed through a temporary traffic-light-controlled intersection, which will be set up at the intersection of Tryfonos Street and Ammochostos Avenue.
The public, and drivers in particular, are asked to exercise due caution and comply with the temporary traffic signs.
