Members of the YKAN proceeded with the seizure of more than 650 grams of cannabis, an air gun, and 2,765 euros, as well as the arrest of four individuals, by members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (YKAN), following an operation conducted in cooperation with members of the Special Anti-Narcotics Unit (YDAP) yesterday in the Limassol district.
The police operation was carried out as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and following relevant information received from the Drug Enforcement Agency (Y.D.A.P.), regarding drug trafficking involving a 20-year-old and a 32-year-old suspect.
ΣΧΕΤΙΚΑ ΑΡΘΡΑ
Shortly after 5:00 p.m. yesterday, police officers stopped the car driven by the 20-year-old in an area in the Limassol district. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, the following items were found among other evidence and seized for examination:
- A quantity of cannabis, with a total weight of 98 grams
- A quantity of cannabis resin, with a gross weight of 10 grams
- A sum of 825 euros
- One cell phone
- A metal grinder with traces of cannabis and a precision scale
During the police operation, officers also stopped a car driven by a 23-year-old man, who had earlier met with the 20-year-old woman, for inspection. A sum of 940 euros was found in the 23-year-old’s vehicle and seized for examination.
Investigations continued at the residences of both the 20-year-old and the 23-year-old. At the 20-year-old’s residence, where a 38-year-old woman also lives, an air pistol and 1,000 euros were found and seized for examination.
At the 20-year-old’s residence, where the 32-year-old also lives, the following items were found and seized:
- A quantity of cannabis with a total gross weight of 343 grams
- A quantity of cannabis resin with a total gross weight of 204 grams
- A precision scale with traces of cannabis
The 20-year-old, 23-year-old, and 32-year-old were arrested for investigation into drug possession with intent to supply to another person, and money laundering, while the 38-year-old woman was arrested in connection with an investigation into the possession of an air pistol.
The YKAN (Limassol District Unit) is continuing its investigation in cooperation with the Polemidia Police Station.
