The unstable air mass affecting the region will begin to subside on Thursday.
Today, the weather will start out mostly clear, but clouds developing around noon and in the early afternoon are expected to bring isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms in the mountains and inland areas. Winds will initially be variable and light, at 3 Beaufort, before gradually shifting to mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily locally along the windward coasts up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly choppy. Temperatures will rise to 35 degrees inland, around 31 degrees on the western and southwestern coasts, around 32 degrees along the rest of the coast, and 25 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, but the western half of the island will see locally increased cloud cover. Winds will be mainly westerly to northwesterly, light and locally moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 22 degrees in the interior, around 23 on the coast, and 15 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the weather will be mostly clear.
Temperatures will gradually rise noticeably through Friday, with little change on Saturday, remaining above average for this time of year.
