As part of the inspections conducted by the police yesterday, on the first day of the hunting season, more than 300 inspections were carried out throughout Cyprus.
During the inspections, 12 out-of-court complaints were filed for offenses involving the transport of an assembled hunting firearm inside a vehicle, the pursuit of game in a prohibited area, and the transport of a hunting firearm in a prohibited area.
Meanwhile, the Stroumbi Police Station is investigating a case against two individuals involving the offenses of illegal possession and transportation of a hunting firearm.

The two individuals, aged 39 and 42, were spotted by members of the Game Warden Service hunting in a prohibited hunting area and were formally charged with offenses involving the pursuit game and carrying a hunting firearm in a prohibited hunting area.
Inspections will continue throughout the hunting season, with the aim of protecting public safety, preventing violations, and ensuring compliance with the provisions of the law.
