The fire that broke out on Monday afternoon in the Arsos community, in the Limassol district, is under control.
According to the latest update from Fire Department spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the fire appears to have been contained, while a large number of firefighters remain in the area and continue efforts to fully extinguish it.
The fire burned a total area of approximately 3 1/2 hectares, and a winery and a vacation home were protected during the firefighting operation.
Firefighting crews will remain in the area overnight to address any potential flare-ups and prevent the fire from spreading further.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
