The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department is searching for the two suspects involved in the shooting at a building housing the offices of a company owned by a 60-year-old foreign national.
In his statements regarding the incident, Limassol Assistant Police Director Lefteris Kyriakou noted that the two individuals were riding a high-displacement motorcycle and fired several shots with a pistol.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and collected evidence that will be sent for forensic analysis.
According to reports, five shell casings were recovered from the scene.
At the same time, as Mr. Kyriakou noted, searches are underway in the area to locate evidence that will help identify the perpetrators.
They are waiting for the owner to give a statement
As Mr. Kyriakou noted, the 60-year-old owner of the company is currently outside Cyprus, and authorities are awaiting his statement upon his return.
This is an individual who has not been of concern to the authorities in the past, nor is he involved in any complaints, as Mr. Kyriakou clarified.

At the same time, the authorities’ initial contacts with company employees yielded no leads, as they reported having no disputes with anyone and not having received any threats.
It should be noted that the incident in Linopetra occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, as reported earlier by Alpha’s Limassol correspondent Erica Kavazi on the “Alpha Kalimera” program, two individuals reportedly approached the scene on a motorcycle and opened fire, managing to shatter the building’s glass entrance and display case before fleeing.
