A fire broke out on Monday afternoon in a house in Livadia while waterproofing work was being carried out on the roof.
At 5:38 p.m., a call was received reporting a fire at a residence in Livadia, in the Larnaca District. The Larnaca Fire Station, under the command of Lieutenant Andreas Papadopoulos, responded with two fire trucks, and the fire was brought under control at 6:06 p.m. The fire broke out during waterproofing work on a wooden roof covered with tiles.
To fully extinguish the fire, members of the Fire Department proceeded to partially dismantle the roof.
Due to the fire and the heat, part of the roof sustained extensive damage.
