The Meteorological Service has issued a new yellow warning, effective from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The maximum temperature in inland areas is expected to reach around 40 degrees Celsius.

Detailed weather forecast
Today, the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually becoming locally strong at 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly choppy. Temperatures will reach 40 degrees inland, around 32 on the southwestern and western coasts, around 36 degrees along the rest of the coast, and 30 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, though locally there will be periods of low cloud cover. Winds will be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, light, at 3 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 21 degrees inland, around 23 degrees along the coast, and 19 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the weather will be mostly clear; however, in the afternoons there will be periods of increased cloud cover, mainly in the mountains, which on Tuesday and Wednesday may bring isolated showers.
Temperatures through Wednesday will not change significantly and will remain slightly above average.
