An 18-year-old is in serious condition at Nicosia General Hospital, an 18-year-old man who was injured in a recent traffic accident that occurred shortly after midnight today in the Famagusta district.

Specifically, according to the police, at around 12:20 a.m., while the 18-year-old was riding his motorcycle on Adamantios Korais Street in Paralimni, under circumstances that are under investigation, he collided with a bus driven by a 43-year-old man. Subsequently, the 18-year-old’s motorcycle struck the wall of a house.

The motorcyclist was transported to Famagusta General Hospital, where he was found to have an epidural hematoma and spinal fractures. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. According to his attending physicians, his condition is considered serious but stable.

The Paralimni Police Station is investigating the causes of the collision.
