A weak low-pressure system is affecting the region, however, a low-pressure system forming over the Adriatic Sea is moving southeast and will affect the region starting Wednesday afternoon.
Today, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, with isolated showers initially expected, and isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out, mainly along the western and northwestern coasts. After noon, developing clouds are expected to bring isolated showers and possibly an isolated thunderstorm, mainly in the mountains but also in areas to the north and inland. Winds will initially be variable, light, 3 Beaufort, but will soon become mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily in the southwest up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 30 degrees inland, around 28 on the southern and eastern coasts, around 27 on the western and northern coasts, and around 20 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

On Wednesday, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms expected at times, particularly in the western half of the island. In the afternoon and thereafter, conditions are expected to deteriorate, initially in the west and gradually spreading to the rest of the island. These conditions may be intense or prolonged in some areas. On Thursday, the weather will remain mostly cloudy, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms expected at times.
Temperatures on Tuesday will remain at the same levels, but will gradually drop through Thursday, falling below the seasonal average.
