Police authorities in Limassol have been put on alert. According to reports, during an operation on Ellados Street in Ypsonas, police officers spotted a suspicious van and signaled the driver to stop.
When the driver failed to comply, the officers called for backup and began pursuing the vehicle, which was carrying two individuals of Turkish Cypriot origin.

A high-speed chase ensued on the streets of Ypsonas, resulting in the driver causing two traffic accidents, while throwing various objects from the vehicle at the patrol cars chasing him.
The officers fired warning shots at the vehicle’s tires and into the air and eventually managed to stop the van at the “Eleftheriou” traffic lights.
