A vehicle caught fire in the Larnaca district about an hour after midnight.
According to Fire Department Spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the Fire Department responded around 1:20 a.m. The vehicle was parked in a field next to a road in Larnaca.

The fire caused extensive damage to the front of the vehicle, and a small area of dry grass was also burned.
The scene was cordoned off by members of the Larnaca Police, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
