A criminal case against the mayor of Dromolaxia–Meneou, Kypros Andronikos, has been filed with the Larnaca District Court.
According to the indictment, he faces a charge of fraud committed by a public official that affects the public. The case concerns a post on the municipality’s official Facebook page in September.

As stated in the indictment, the intent was to present the contents of that specific text as the municipality’s official position, with the aim, according to the charge, to adversely influence public perception of the complainant and to undermine his public and institutional standing.
The mayor is summoned to appear before the Larnaca District Court on November 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
