The meteorological service has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures for tomorrow, Wednesday, as temperatures inland are expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius. The warning will be in effect from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

More specifically, a seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region. Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, though the coastal areas will see temporary increases in low-level cloud cover. Later, during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form locally, mainly in inland and eastern areas. Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly and locally up to southeasterly, light at 2 to 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 23 degrees inland, around 25 degrees along the coast, and around 21 degrees in the higher mountain areas.

Tomorrow, the weather will be generally clear, though increased cloud cover will develop in the afternoon, mainly in the mountains. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, initially light at 3 Beaufort, and gradually becoming light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, while in the south they will blow locally moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 40 degrees inland, around 35 on the southern and eastern coasts, around 32 on the western and northern coasts, and around 30 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

Tomorrow night, the weather will be mostly clear, though patchy fog and low clouds may form locally, mainly after midnight in the southeast and inland areas. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly and locally up to light northeasterly, 2 to 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.

On Thursday and Friday, the weather will be mostly clear with temporary increases in local cloud cover; however, isolated showers may occur in the mountains after noon. On Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy and gradually become mostly cloudy, with local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms expected.

Temperatures will drop slightly through Friday, remaining near or slightly above average. On Saturday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, falling below average.
