Last night, under a court warrant, as part of an investigation into an attempted residential burglary that took place in Larnaca on August 28, 2026. The 39-year-old was arrested by police officers for the flagrant offense of possessing burglary tools.
According to evidence under investigation, the attempted residential burglary took place shortly before 5:00 p.m. on August 28, 2026. Investigations conducted by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) uncovered evidence against the 39-year-old, on the basis of which an arrest warrant was issued.
Members of the Larnaca Police Department located the 39-year-old around 11:00 p.m. yesterday, August 29, 2026, and proceeded to arrest him, pursuant to the arrest warrant.
During a subsequent search, police officers found burglary tools in a backpack belonging to the 39-year-old, including a grinder, a cutter, and screwdrivers, resulting in the 39-year-old also being arrested for the flagrant offense of possession of burglary tools.
The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its investigation.
