In anticipation of the three-day holiday weekend for the Feast of the Assumption, the police will implement enhanced security measures to ensure the safety and protection of citizens. During the upcoming three-day weekend from Friday through Sunday, August 14, 15, and 16, specific action plans will be implemented, which will include an increased police presence on major thoroughfares and in high-traffic areas, both for traffic safety purposes and to prevent crime, public nuisances, and delinquency.
Police officers will be stationed at key points along the road network to provide traffic assistance where needed, as well as to conduct frequent checks, to deter traffic violations, which have been proven to be the leading causes of serious and fatal traffic collisions. Particular emphasis will be placed on enforcing violations related to driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, speeding, and dangerous passing, failure to wear a seatbelt or helmet, using a cell phone while driving, and dangerous or reckless driving.

At the same time, the police will implement additional security measures through motorized and foot patrols, both in cities and in rural areas, to prevent property crimes, such as burglaries and thefts. Enhanced measures will also be implemented in areas with high foot traffic, such as shopping streets, busy public spaces, and resorts, with the aim of ensuring public safety.
