The Fire Department was dispatched around 3:00 a.m. after receiving a call reporting a fire at a ground-floor restaurant in the community of Chlorakas, in the Paphos district.
The Paphos Fire Station responded with two fire trucks, and the fire was brought under control at 3:25 a.m.
Due to the fire and the heat, the premises and some of its equipment sustained extensive damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and arson has not been ruled out.
