Police arrested two individuals, aged 38 and 34, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the assault and injury of a 30-year-old man, which took place yesterday in Nicosia.
Specifically, at around 4:00 a.m. yesterday, police officers were called to and arrived at a location in Nicosia, where they found the 30-year-old man, who had been injured in the abdomen following an attack. He was transported to Nicosia General Hospital, where he underwent medical examinations and was admitted for treatment. According to his attending physicians, his condition is no longer life-threatening.
The examinations led to evidence against a 38-year-old man, who was arrested yesterday on a court warrant. As part of the investigation into the case, a 34-year-old woman was also arrested yesterday on charges of aiding and abetting a felony.
The 38-year-old man and the 34-year-old woman are expected to appear today before the Nicosia District Court, for the issuance of a detention order for the purpose of investigating the case.
