The Fire Department responded in the early morning hours to a rescue operation for a woman who had fallen from a third-floor apartment window in an apartment building in Limassol.
According to Fire Department Spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the call was received at 4:17 a.m.
The woman had fallen onto the roof of a wooden pergola on the ground floor of the building. A rescue team arrived at the scene and, in cooperation with the Ambulance Service, placed the woman on a stretcher.
She was then handed over to an ambulance and transported to the Accident and Emergency Department (AED) of Limassol General Hospital for treatment.
A rescue/fire truck responded to the incident.
Over the past 24 hours, the Fire Department responded to 47 calls for assistance, 15 fires, 30 special services, and 2 false alarms.
