A yellow warning will also be in effect today inland, with temperatures reaching 39 to 40 degrees Celsius. The warning will be in effect from 2:00 p.m. onward, while the highest temperatures of the day will be recorded between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., according to Andreas Chrysanthou, spokesperson for the Meteorological Service. Coastal areas will be cooler, with temperatures ranging from 32 to 35 degrees and higher humidity levels.

Today and tomorrow, there is a slight chance of light rain in the mountains, though this will not result in a noticeable change in temperature.
Mr. Chrysanthou reports that starting Tuesday, temperatures may exceed 42 degrees, with the possibility of Yellow Alerts being issued again.
