Poppy Christoforou, mother of the twins Miltos and Christos Christoforou, who lost their lives in the deadly explosion, in Mari. The police have announced traffic arrangements in the area around the Holy Trinity Church, in cooperation with the Limassol Municipality Traffic Department.
As noted, to avoid inconvenience and ensure the safe arrival and departure of attendees, those planning to visit the church are urged to avoid using their vehicles and to use the available parking areas in the vicinity.
Specifically, it is noted that the following may be used: the multi-story municipal parking garage on Salaminos Street, the municipal parking lots in Epichosi, as well as other municipal parking lots in the area.
Those who, out of necessity, must travel to the church by car, are asked to use Zenonos Street heading south, as only the eastern entrance will remain open to vehicles approaching the church.
It is noted that Popi Christoforou, who had been battling cancer, passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 6, and it was her wish that those attending her funeral wear white and blue clothing.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church, and the burial will take place at the Agios Nikolaos Cemetery; the family will not be accepting condolences.
In lieu of wreaths, the family requests that donations be made to the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Association, the Agia Marina Amiros Retreat Center, and the Soup Kitchens for the Needy of the Holy Metropolis of Limassol.
