Traffic toward Larnaca on the Nicosia–Larnaca highway was closed due to a truck overturning following a traffic accident.
Traffic was restored around 8:20 p.m. on the highway, a section of which had been closed following the overturning of a truck near Pera Chorio.

According to a police statement, traffic has been restored on the Nicosia – Larnaca highway, near Pera Chorio on the island, before the Alambra exit, in the direction of Larnaca. The road has been reopened to traffic, and traffic is flowing normally.
The traffic accident occurred around 4:30 p.m., resulting in the closure of a section of the highway and causing chaos.

It should be noted that the accident involved a truck and a sedan, and soil from the truck spilled onto the roadway.
Two people sustained minor injuries in the collision.
