After being absent for quite some time, the clock that was located in the City Hall is back in its place.
The clock, which had been in storage for a long time, has been repaired and will soon be back in its familiar spot, once again telling the time to passersby and visitors to the area, according to an announcement by Paphos Mayor Angelos Onisiforos.
“A public clock, especially when located next to an iconic municipal building and in a central location, is not merely a practical object,” said Mr. Onisiforos, noting that “it can become a landmark, part of citizens’ daily lives, and an element of a place’s character.”
Its return, therefore, restores a familiar part of the City Hall’s image. After all this time, the clock will once again tell the time where it belongs.
