A 40-year-old man was arrested this morning pursuant to a court warrant, to facilitate the investigation into a case involving a jewelry store burglary and theft that occurred on January 19, 2026, in the Famagusta district.
Specifically, on January 19, 2026, at approximately 3:55 a.m., the alarm system at a jewelry store in the Famagusta district went off. Following judicial proceedings, he was extradited to the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus, where he arrived this morning and was re-arrested pursuant to a national arrest warrant that was pending against him.
