The brutal robbery at the home of a foreign couple in Limassol in the early hours of the morning unfolded like a scene from a movie.
While the couple was asleep, five hooded men broke into the house through an unsecured window and, brandishing knives and a gun, tied up and gagged the 43-year-old man and ordered the 36-year-old woman to open the safe they had in the house.
From there, they stole 5,000 euros in cash and jewelry worth approximately 200,000 euros.
They then tied her up with duct tape, took the valuables, and fled.
The robbery took place around 3 a.m., and the police were notified of the incident on Thursday morning, after the victims managed to free themselves and alert the authorities.
