Two days before celebrating his first birthday, a little boy “passed away” at Limassol General Hospital.
According to the police, the boy began feeling unwell and developed a fever last Tuesday. On Wednesday, his parents took him to a pediatrician, where he was diagnosed with gastroenteritis and given medication.
On Thursday evening, his father took the child to Limassol General Hospital, where he was unconscious.

The police were immediately notified of the tragic incident. Officers went to the hospital and performed an autopsy on the infant’s body, finding no external injuries.
At noon on Friday, medical examiner Angeliki Papetta performed an autopsy on the body of the unfortunate boy. The examination did not reveal the exact cause of death, and samples were taken for laboratory, microbiological, and genetic testing.
