The 37-year-old father of the 3-year-old child who fell to his death in Paphos is facing charges of reckless, careless, or dangerous conduct.
The 37-year-old was arrested on Sunday night and taken into custody to facilitate the investigation, and is expected to appear before the Paphos District Court today for the issuance of a formal detention order.

The legally mandated autopsy on the body of the unfortunate boy was scheduled to take place at 12:00 p.m., at the Nicosia morgue, by medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou.
The timeline of the tragedy
The unfortunate child from Britain, who was in Cyprus on vacation with his parents, under circumstances that are under investigation and while under his father’s supervision, fell from the fourth floor of the hotel in Paphos where they were staying and landed on the first floor.
An ambulance from Paphos General Hospital rushed to the scene, and the crew attempted to administer first aid to the child. The three-year-old boy was then transported to Paphos General Hospital, where, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As stated in their announcement, they were notified around 6:40 p.m., after the unfortunate child was picked up by an ambulance and transported to Paphos General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Paphos Traffic Accident Investigation Unit is continuing its investigation.
