Limassol was plunged into mourning following the tragic news of the death of Dimis Mavropoulos, who “perished” in the stormy sea, after becoming trapped in the wreckage of his boat at Cape Greco.
Family and friends will say their final “goodbye” to the ill-fated businessman next Thursday, September 3, at 11 a.m., at the Church of Saint Kosmas of Aetolia in Limassol.
The family will receive condolences at the church starting at 10 a.m.
The family requests that, instead of black, those in attendance wear colorful clothing to honor the life and memory of Dimis Mavropoulos.

Meanwhile, investigations by the police and the Fisheries Department are continuing at the site of the tragedy in the waters off Cape Greco, which claimed the life of the 77-year-old businessman.
The autopsy performed on the body of 77-year-old Dimis Mavropoulos revealed that he died from drowning and sustained multiple bodily injuries; who lost his life last Saturday during a severe storm in the Cape Greco area, where his boat was anchored.

The legally mandated autopsy was performed on his remains by medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou, who determined that the cause of death was consistent with the circumstances of the boating accident that cut short the life of the unfortunate Dimi.
