“I can’t get my daughter’s face out of my mind”: Cries of despair from the parents of the two missing children

Relatives of those missing from the tragic accident that occurred on Sunday off the coast of Kyrenia are going through agonizing hours.

Dozens of relatives are at the port, waiting to hear the latest news about the fate of their loved ones.

Among them are the parents of two minors—a six-year-old boy and a twelve-year-old girl—whose whereabouts remain unknown.

The mother was on board the ill-fated vessel with her three children; she and the family’s third child were rescued from the wreck.

“Find me a diver to save my children”

A cry of despair from the mother of the two minors, who, with tears in her eyes, pleads for help to find her two missing children.

“My two children are missing… find me a diver to save my children. I’ll give everything I have.”

In statements to reporters, the mother said, “My son is 6 years old, weighs 20 kilograms, and can’t defend himself. I can’t get my daughter’s face out of my mind.”
