Amid an atmosphere of profound grief and sorrow, the family, relatives, and friends are preparing to say their final “goodbye” to four-year-old Alpha, the unfortunate little angel who lost his life after falling from the sixth floor of an apartment building in Engomi.
Standing by Alpha’s heartbroken parents are Cypriot volunteers and fellow countrymen of the family from Guinea, who have taken it upon themselves to organize the farewell ceremony to be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Limassol and to issue a related announcement in Greek, English, and French.

The tragedy occurred at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, while the entire family was in the apartment: the father, the mother, and the 4-year-old’s younger sibling, a 1½-year-old girl. The 4-year-old boy fell from the enclosed balcony of the apartment, with his father rushing out in a panic to find his child lying in a pool of blood in the apartment building’s parking lot. The child was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where, despite the superhuman efforts of the doctors in the Trauma Unit, the little boy lost his battle for life 35 minutes later, at 6:50 p.m.
