The confirmed death toll from the shipwreck in occupied Kyrenia has risen to ten.
The so-called Vice President of the pseudo-state, Cevdet Yılmaz, who is in the occupied territories to oversee search and rescue operations following the maritime accident, announced that yet another body had been recovered from the wreck of the ship that sank off the coast of Kyrenia, at a depth of 550 meters.

Following the deadly shipwreck that occurred on August 30, the death toll has risen to ten, while the number of people still missing stands, so far, at 18.
Yilmaz stated: “We have been informed that another body has been located and brought to the surface. Once the identification process is complete, in accordance with administrative procedures, the identity of the person whose body was found will be announced to the public.”

Meanwhile, Cevdet Yilmaz announced that, as part of the ongoing investigation into the Filo Jet maritime accident, the so-called judicial authorities of the occupied territories have sent a letter of request to the Turkish Ministry of Justice.
Yilmaz stated that the necessary procedures will be followed to ensure that this request is fulfilled as soon as possible.
No further details regarding the content of the request have been provided at this stage.
Yilmaz did, however, note that, as a result of intensive efforts, it has been determined that it is likely that additional remains will be located.
