The toxicology tests conducted on the father of the unfortunate 3-year-old boy who lost his life at a hotel in Paphos came back “clear.”
Speaking on state television, Police Spokesperson Byron Vyronos, when asked about the case, stated that the toxicology tests had been completed and “nothing came up.”
Meanwhile, witness statements are still being taken, and according to Mr. Vyronos, once the case file is complete, it will be sent to the Legal Service.

It is recalled that the tragedy occurred on Sunday during playtime while the father and grandfather were waiting for the elevator. The 3-year-old boy fell from the fourth floor, where he lived with his parents, and landed on the first floor, sustaining fatal injuries.

The 37-year-old father of the unfortunate child was arrested on Sunday night —as the tragedy occurred while the child was under his supervision—and was brought before a court on Monday, where an eight-day detention order was issued against him.
The father appeared in court in a distressed state and broke down in tears.

On Monday, an autopsy was performed on the body of the unfortunate child.
According to the findings of the autopsy performed by medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou, the child’s death was caused by a severe craniotrauma, as well as multiple injuries to the body and vital organs, resulting from the reported fall from a height.
