A fatal traffic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Argaka, claiming the life of a 16-year-old from the Paphos district.
The victim is Giorgos Hatzioannou, 16, from Agia Marina.

According to the police, around 3:30 p.m., the 16-year-old, riding an unregistered racing motorcycle, was traveling westbound on Archbishop Makarios III Avenue in Argaka.
Under circumstances that are under investigation, the minor lost control of the motorcycle, which struck the left sidewalk in the direction of travel and then overturned.
A helmet was found at the scene, and investigators are determining whether the 16-year-old was wearing it at the time of the collision.
The 16-year-old was seriously injured and transported by ambulance to Polis Chrysochous Hospital, where, according to the police, he was pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the fatal traffic accident are being investigated by the police.
