The police arrested two individuals, aged 23 and 24, as part of an investigation into a case involving, among other things, conspiracy to commit a felony, kidnapping, extortion, and money laundering.
According to the evidence under review, around 8 p.m. last night, while the 18-year-old was in a park in the Limassol area, the two suspects approached him and allegedly forced him to get into their car. They then drove him to another street where, according to the complainant, he was threatened over a financial dispute between them.
Immediately after receiving the report, police officers located the vehicle in question in the Limassol area, along with the individuals involved.
Both the two arrested individuals and the complainant were taken to the Limassol CID offices for questioning.
As part of the investigation into the case, arrest warrants were obtained against the two suspects, who were arrested and taken into custody to facilitate the investigation.
This morning, the two detainees are expected to appear before the Limassol District Court for proceedings to issue detention orders against them.
The Limassol CID, in cooperation with the Limassol Narcotics Unit, is continuing its investigation.
