The center of Nicosia was transformed into a winter scene due to the sudden and heavy rainfall, resulting in rivers of water on the capital’s main streets.
As the Police reported in a recent announcement, due to the heavy rainfall, water has pooled on Georgios Grivas Digenis Avenue in Nicosia.

Earlier, problems also arose on the Nicosia-Limassol highway near Kofinou, as visibility was limited due to torrential rain.
Drivers are urged to be especially careful, drive at low speeds, and maintain a safe distance from the vehicles ahead.
