Sewage workers from Limassol gathered outside the Presidential Palace; they have gone on an indefinite strike.
Representatives of the sewer workers delivered a memorandum addressed to the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, calling on the government to immediately designate a legal site for sewage disposal.
The septic tank cleaners claim that Limassol is facing an extremely serious problem and that the reduced capacity to receive sewage has led to overflows, hour-long waits for tanker trucks, and an inability to serve residents, businesses, and hotels.
They even warned that if the President does not intervene immediately, they will escalate their actions, with the strike continuing until a meaningful solution is found.
