For three minutes, an ambulance was “stuck” behind the closed barrier on Athinon Avenue (Foinikoudes) in Larnaca.
A video posted on social media captures the moment when the ambulance is unable to continue on its way because the barriers leading to Athinon Avenue are closed.

The ambulance honks its horn and sounds its siren for a few seconds, after which a police officer appears and opens the barrier.
According to Riana Konstantinou, head of the Ambulance Service, the ambulance was responding to an emergency and had to wait three minutes at that spot, as there was no alternative route to reach the scene.
The patient, as she told us, is in good health.
It should be noted that an event was taking place in Foinikoudes on Friday evening.
