A break-in at a kiosk in Limassol, on Misiaouli and Kavazoglou Streets, was reported in a social media post. The post is accompanied by video footage from security cameras, which reportedly captured the burglar in action.
According to the post, the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday (September 3), between approximately 5:00 and 5:30 a.m. An unknown individual reportedly approached the kiosk and forced open the door using a angle grinder, managing to gain entry.
Subsequently, according to the same report, the perpetrator removed a machine used for managing and processing mobile phone data and transactions, including the issuance of mobile phone and internet top-up cards.
Security cameras reportedly recorded the suspect’s movements minute by minute, from the moment he forced his way in until he left the kiosk.
The machine was later found broken on Makarios Avenue, and there are reports that the same individual attempted to carry out similar acts at other locations.
